Cultural Heritage Development and Conservation Skills

Both the crowded world population and increasing needs, as well as conflicts of interest around the world, energy games, and corruption which is bringing together these drawbacks, have become a threat in many areas. As a result of these, creating a sustainable environment, cultural values, religious facts, energy, sustainable cities, and development, in short, creating a sustainable world become quite difficult. Sustainable tourism is based on the necessity of the transfer of requirements of the resources to future generations. In this context, because of the reason for the young generation‟s usage of these sources, it is important to determine their perceptions about sustainable development. The main purpose of this study is to determine the knowledge and the perception of young people living in slow cities about sustainability and the environment.

 

Learning Outcomes:

All the participants will:

- Know how to reconnect the schools with their surrounding communities

- Get awareness about the ways to motivate the students / learners to conserve the cultural heritage

- Determine the roles of individuals and trainers in development of natural, urban, industrial, historical and cultural heritage

- Understand Non-formal education methods used for the protection and development of tangible cultural heritage

- Know the relationship between intangible cultural heritage and sustainable development

- Learn how to manage the Intergenerational transfer of intangible cultural heritage with innovative and creative non-formal education models

- Learn how to plan to integrate the Sustainability of Cultural Heritage in the lifelong learning process

Objectives of the Course:

- Knowing reconnection of the schools with their surrounding communities

- Motivating the students / learners to conserve cultural heritage and manage its sustainability

- Knowing the related terms like Cultural Heritage, Sustainable

Methodology:

- Working cooperatively

- Brainstorming

- Designing lesson plans

- Developing the teachers’ professional skills

Target Group:

- Teachers, trainers, educators, school administrators, etc.

Preparation:

Before the course,

- A detailed pre-course questionnaire to indicate their level of experience, teaching backgrounds, and training will be completed by participants.

- They will also prepare a presentation to reflect their own teaching method.

Validation:

- A course participation certificate will be given to all participants.

- A Europass Mobility Certificate will be given if the participant demands it, as well.

1st Day

4th day

Cultural Heritage Tourism
Methods for local people to develop intangible cultural heritage products as tourism products
