MY GREEN WORLD

PROJECT: Mobility of Pupils
TARGET GROUP: Primary/Secondary/Upper-secondary School Students

The United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development states: “sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, “sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. To pursue sustainability is to create and maintain the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony to support present and future generations.”
Education for Sustainability is a top priority in today’s schools, as our society strives to strike a balance between environmental, social, cultural, political and economic imperatives that impact on our future. As students will become the next generation of adults, young children must be educated on sustainability-related topics so they can learn to make informed decisions and take proactive steps toward a sustainable society.

During the mobility:
- A professional trainer / mentor accompanies the group, mentor them about the content of the program and also monitor the progress of the pupils. The trainer/mentor prepares a group report and also personal report for each of the participants at the end of the activity. The reports are sent to both sending and hosting schools to evaluate the success of the program.
- A short evaluation form is applied at the end of the program to monitor the success of the activity.
- Certificate of Participation and Europass mobility Document are prepared to validate the mobility

After the mobility:
- Anatolia Education keeps the contact with both parties after the mobility and assist them whenever they are in need to put what they have gained into practice at schools or disseminate the activity at various platforms.
