Performance Evaluation in Digital Education

Performance evaluation measures how well students apply their knowledge, skills, and abilities to authentic problems. The key feature is that it requires the student to produce something, such as a report, experiment, or performance, which is scored against specific criteria. In this course, participants will learn how to manage the performance evaluation of the pupils in the digital education era. As education and training methods and techniques differ from classical methods, measurement and evaluation methods and techniques have to differentiate, keep up with the times, and adapt themselves to the 21st-century education process.

- Be able to use how to use digital measurement tools like Edmodo, Google Classroom, Quizzizz, and Tricider

- Learn how to prepare exams and activities using these tools and practice them

- Know effective evaluation principles and use in digital education

- Examine a sample digital assessment and evaluation application

- Be able to prepare digital measurement and evaluation application or activity

- State the most important points of performance evaluation in digital education

Objectives of the Course:

- Learning the importance of digital evaluation process in digital education

- Knowing synchronous and asynchronous evaluation methods in digital evaluation using traditional evaluation methods in digital evaluation

- Using alternative evaluation methods in digital evaluation

- Learning how to prepare exams and activities using these tools and practice them

- Knowing effective evaluation principles and use in digital education

- Examining a sample digital assessment and evaluation application

- Stating the most important points of performance evaluation in digital education

Target Group:

- Teachers, trainers, educators, school administrators, etc.

Preparation:

Before the course,

- A detailed pre-course questionnaire to indicate their level of experience, teaching backgrounds, and training will be completed by participants.

- They will also prepare a presentation to reflect their own teaching method.

Validation:

- A course participation certificate will be given to all participants.

- A Europass Mobility Certificate will be given if the participant demands it, as well.
